On any given day, Brandon Mize receives hundreds of emails from artists or agents looking to play one of Center Stage’s venues or Rival Entertainment’s upcoming live events. Where some might find this volume overwhelming, he embraces the challenge and relishes in helping new artists grow in the Atlanta market. Brandon’s keen sense for finding raw new music lead him to nurture talent like Marc Broussard, Citizen Cope and Needtobreathe, all of whom got their start at Vinyl.
Brandon has been with Rival since its inception in 2004 and books bands for all three venues within Center Stage Atlanta as well as the company’s outside events. Prior to joining the Center Stage team 13 years ago, he worked for booking agent Metro Talent Group in Atlanta and in years prior, in Knoxville at University of Tennessee, his alma mater..
You could say Brandon is addicted to tunes. His Tennessee roots may speak to country music, but he listens to everything under the sun, from Jay-Z to Counting Crows to the latest YouTube phenoms. Even when he’s not working a show, he’s typically attending one.
