Alternative rock band formed in 1995 in Mexico City, currently composed of Tito Fuentes (Guitar and Vocal), Miky Huidobro (Bass and Vocal), Paco Ayala (Bass and Vocal) and Randy Ebright (Drums and Vocal). During 1996 Molotov plays in the baretos circuit of Mexico City and begins to create loyal fans.

In 1997 the first album of the band is sent to the market, “Where will play the girls?” Generating great controversies by its letters and covers. His songs are characterized by humor lacra, with criticism of the government (not only Mexican), politics as they also deal with women and parties. The two basses make it have an explosive sound. Among several awards, the album is nominated for the Grammy (international) in the first category of its kind as: “Best Latin / Alternative Rock Performance” and gets recognitions as “Double Platinum” in Spain, “Platinum” in Chile and in United States; “Quadruple gold disc” in Mexico, “Gold” in Argentina and Colombia. In 1998 they made a tour with “Molomix”, remix disc of the classic of Queen, “Bohemian Rhapsody” entitled: “Rap, Soda and Bohemia”.

In April 1999, Molotov enters the studio with the legendary producer / engineer of the Beastie Boys, Mario Caldato Jr., to start the recording of his second album “Apocalypshit”. Between June and September of 2002, Molotov records “Dance and Dense Denso”, at Larabee Studios. Produced as part of the previous one by Gustavo Santaolalla. The album goes on sale in February of 2003 anticipated by the single Frijolero, whose video is awarded with the Latin Grammy (2003) for the “Best Music Video”. At the end of 2004 the Mexican band releases “Con todo respeto”, 12 new versions of old rock hits. The first single was Amateur, a version of the old song from the 80s’ “Rock me Amadeus” by “Falco”.

In 2007 they announced that they were separated by differences of creativity and economic problems. After that announcement, each of the band launches an EP asking his followers to act as judges to dictate which job they liked the most, the singer being the chosen one. Months later, they announce the release of the album “Eternamiente” the plaque containing the EP’s that were released by their members separately and an unpublished song, “Eternamiente Molotov“.
